Eight dacoits were killed in an operation in Kashmores riverine area near the SindhPunjab border . SSP Shaikh said Sindh police trapped the gang by organising a party through a mutual associate . Punjab police claim one of the slain men was actually their informant Usman Chandio .
Rahimyar Khan SSP Rizwan Umar Gondal told Dawn.com that Chandio resided in Rahim Yar Khan in Zahir Pir police stations precinct and had served a jail term with Jamil Indher Janus brother . A grand operation is currently under way in Sindhs riverine areas to clear them of dacoites .
The operation was approved by the Sindhs cabinet in March. Earlier this month Sindh Inspector General of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon had said that mostwanted dacoit were being killed in ambushes carried out on the basis of intelligence reports . He added that most wanted dachetes were being targeted in the area on the based on intelligence reports.
The operation is being carried out in Sindh riverine regions to clear the area of Dacoits from the area. The operations were approved by Sindh cabinet in 2013. The Operation was launched in March, according to the SSP Ghotki Police Chief Ghulama Memon.
The Dacoit operations are under way. A grand op is under way to remove dacoats from the region’s control of the area’. A total number of dackeys are being targeted. A number of people have been killed. A large number of men have been executed. A major number of women have been arrested.
