At least nine people were injured due to an explosion in a sewerage line in Karachis Lasbela area . Initial probe revealed the explosion took place because of the accumulation of gases inside the stormwater drain . Police are waiting for the final report from bomb experts to determine the exact cause of the blast .
The individuals who sustained injuries have been identified as Lal Muhammad Ejaz Hafeez Mansoor Naseeruddin Khurram Mansoor Arif and Zoq Akhtar . None of the eight injured persons received lifethreatening injuries, according to the senior officer . The police said that among the eight people injured none of the injured persons none received life-threatening injuries .
The blast took place due to accumulation of the gases in the storm water drain in a stormwater drainage system, police said. However the police are awaiting the report from the bomb experts for their final report to determine its exact cause he said.
