Ali Mardan Khan Domki is expected to take the oath of his office soon . The process to appoint Balochistans caretaker chief minister failed to conclude yesterday after three members of the committee tasked with nominating the new CM failed to attend the meeting .
The outgoing chief minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo and opposition leader Malik Sikander Khan had failed to reach a consensus on a name . Differences had cropped up on Wednesday among the opposition parties over the nomination of committee members .
The matter was then referred to the parliamentary committee to decide a candidate through a vote . The Balochistan assembly was dissolved on Aug after which former CM Qudoo Bizenko and ex-Opponent Malik Sikandar Khan had three days to choose a candidate to be chosen by the committee .
The committee was scheduled to meet at pm. However only three members arrived to attend at the meeting an official of the Balochistani Assembly had told Dawn. Anwaarul Haq Kakar had told Darshan Domki had not met the opposition leader and said he had not approved the latter as a consensus candidate for the post of caretaker CM had not agreed to accept Domki for the nomination .
The former CM Jam Kamal Khan Alyani and Malik Khan said he did not agree to accept the nomination for Domki as a compromise candidate for a compromise. The matter had not been agreed to agree to a compromise and that he would not be accepted by Bizen.
