Caretaker health minister Dr Nadeem Jan directed the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan Drap to take measures to prevent artificial shortage of drugs . He also directed the authority for steps to double the export of medicine . Currently Pakistan exports medicine worth million in a year .
It was decided that Drap will also launch a complaint mobile application to end the shortage of medicines . Meanwhile the Ministry of National Health Services has repatriated an official who was working as director with former health minister Abdul Qadir Patel .
Mohammad Imran Ali BS has been repatriated to his parent department as additional director BSpublic relations Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University. Meanwhile the ministry has also repatriated a former Health Services director with ex-minister Abdul Qadhir Patel to his parents department as an additional director of the hospital.
Dr Jan emphasised his determination to protect the health of the citizens and protect the safety and wellbeing of the people . He said Pakistan had great potential to improve the health sector and said Pakistan has great potential and said he would not compromise on the quality of the medicines he had previously worked for the ministry of health services.
He said he will not be willing to compromise on quality of medicines and would not be compromised on quantity of medicines he said. We will ensure uninterrupted supply of lifesaving medicines. There should be monitoring in realtime of drug shortage to trace complaints.
