President Arif Alvi on Thursday administered oath to members of newly appointed caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar cabinet . Justice retd Maqbool Baqar took the oath as the caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh . Former central bank chief Shamshad Akhtar was appointed as finance minister and Pakistans exambassador to the United States Jalil Abbas Jilani was named foreign minister .
Dr Saif took to Twitter to confirm that he had been entrusted with the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication . Former climate change minister and PPP leader Sherry Rehman congratulated Jilni on his new post and extended best wishes .
The swearingin ceremony comes days after Kakar was sworn in as caretaker premier following weekslong deliberations . Air Marshal r Farhat Hussain Khan Ahad Khan Cheema Waqar Masood Khan was appointed three Advisers to PM Air Marshal Farah Hussain Khan was also appointed three advisers to the interim Prime Minister Kakar .
The oathtaking ceremony was officiated by Governor Kamran Tessori and others at the President House in Islamabad was attended by Kakar Punjab interim Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and others . Separately Justice Baqbar took oath as interim Sindh chief minister of the Sindh CM of the Provincial Assembly in Sindh.
Justice Baquar was also the target of a deadly bomb attack in June which killed nine people and injured others including Baqhar was also a member of the Sindh Council of State of Pakistan. He was the victim of a terrorist attack in a deadly attack in the attack in September.
