Javelin star Arshad appeals for better training facilities in Javelins .

Arshad Nadeem won silver medal at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest . The javelin thrower missed out on gold by a mere centimetres in Hungary . The yearold arrived to huge fanfare at the Allama Iqbal Airport being showered with petals as he made his way out through the arrival gates .

He said that the need of the hour was to build better training facilities un the country . The World Championships were his first international competition after a year during which he recuperated from an elbow surgery . One of Arshads doctors told Dawn on the condition of anonymity that although the Pakistan Sports Board had set up a training camp for Arshhad ahead of the world championships the daily food allowance for him was only Rs.

A meagre allowance he asked. How anyone can arrange a better three times foods in such a meagRE allowance he asks. I would also like to thank the Athletics Federation of Pakistan and Pakistan and the Pakistan sports Board for their kind cooperation in preparing for the event.

The world championships were his last international competition, he said. The World Championship were his final competition after he had been injured by an injury-stricken elbow surgery in 2011. He said he could win gold at the Paris Olympics if he is provided the required facilities.

He asked. He added that he could be given the necessary training facilities. I am very thankful to all the people of the country’s final victory. He thanked the Athletics. I wish to thank them for their cooperation. He is very grateful for the Pakistan.

I will be very happy to be very satisfied. I’m very grateful to be able to be satisfied with his performance.
