An enraged mob vandalised multiple churches in Jaranwala tehsil of Faisalabad on Wednesday over blasphemy allegations . A Christian cemetery was also vandalised as well as the local government office . Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar said stern action would be taken against those who violate the law and target minorities .
The police registered a first information report against the accused under sections B defiling etc. of the Holy Quran and C use of derogatory remarks etc. in respect of the holy Prophet of the Pakistan Penal Code . Meanwhile the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan maintained that the mobled assault on Christian families and sites of worship must be condemned in no uncertain terms and such attacks are on no uncertain scale of violent scale and frequency of attacks .
