Imran Khans lawyer Naeem Haider Panjotha approached the Islamabad High Court IHC on Monday seeking AClass jail facilities for the PTI chief who is currently incarcerated in Attock Jail in a graft case . On Aug an Islamabad trial court had declared Imran guilty of corrupt practices in a case pertaining to concealing details of state gifts and sentenced him to three years in prison .
The expremier was given BClass facilities by the Punjab prisons department . However his lawyers and the party claimed on Sunday they were not allowed by the jail administration to meet Imran . The legal team said they wanted to get in touch with Imran to provide him with clothes food and other necessary items and also get his signatures .
The jail authorities did not allow a meeting with the jail authorities and asked the lawyers to come back on Monday to get power of attorney . However the prison department denied this claim however was denied by the prison officials . The petition said that the jail officials had previously claimed that the Attock jail lacked B class facilities .
The plea said that Imran had been confined in a dirty cell which has traditionally been reserved for terrorists . It stated that it is yet to be ascertained under which law the former prime minister had been detained at the trial court . Imran was detained at Attock .
The former premier had been locked in a x feet cell with an annexed dirty bathroom. The petition also requested that the prison guards were not to be locked up with an annexed dirty bathroom . It said that it was a dirty room which has typically been reserved to terrorists.
It is yet-to-be . The prison officials have been detained in a cell. The prison guards have refused to provide the prison officers.
